NOTE: As of 12/2016, Rey has adopted the alias "Fiona Stransky" when working with the Guard. Something to keep in mind, as Rey maintains a low profile with her involvement in the group. Other than what is mentioned in the Guard records, there is no trace of a "Fiona" identified on the network.
Don't know, really. Never met the girl before, but just wanted her dead for some reason.
[There is a startlingly lack of emotion when she says this. Rey's pretty good at detaching herself when she needs to. Better than losing herself to her anger.]
We figured Rage may have something to do with it. [Pause.] As in the 'god' Rage.
[Nick's picking up on that disconnect, and it makes him concerned. Rey has a lot of resilience, but everyone has a breaking point. There's no telling how far the gods will push until they find hers.]
Yes, but have practice dealing with such urges. Can't say the same for others who may experience the same symptoms. Should be worried for them more.
[Rey is fine. Totally fine. Unfeeling, sure, but fiiine. Never mind the fact that she's had to suppress urges to kill at one point before being plagued by Rage's... well, rage. That's no cause for concern.]
Felt no different than usual until the girl showed up. Can at least report that the impulse doesn't go away when you're not within proximity of the target. Wants us to kill each other for some reason.
I'm guessing from the fact she went into hiding that she didn't want to kill you as much as you wanted to kill her. Maybe she'll see someone else and feel it. Hell, maybe I will, too.
[He assumes he'll be affected by this, too. After all, the gods didn't skip him when it came to burying people alive. Why would they do so now?]
She's lucky you've got an iron will to go with the rest of the metal in you. You going to be okay?
[Because Rey absolutely didn't answer that question earlier, and he noticed.]
Correct. Too early to discern a pattern, but it seems random so far. Probably to keep us on our toes. Make us paranoid.
[That seems like the sort of thing she'd expect from the "friendly" locals here.
[She huffs. Not many people would use the word lucky to describe the situation, but it fits.]
Am not planning to go and murder a kid, if that's what you're worried about. [That's not exactly the answer he's looking for and she knows it. Dodging much?]
[It is, but he has a hard time believing it when she currently sounds less human than he does.]
I'm going to make a sweep of the streets, see if I can't convince some people to stay indoors until we can figure out exactly what the gods are up to this time. I'll check in later if I find out anything.
[Spoiler: he's going to check in with Rey later even if he doesn't.]
[voice]
What happened, then? Because from the looks of it, you sure scared the hell out of her.
[voice]
[There is a startlingly lack of emotion when she says this. Rey's pretty good at detaching herself when she needs to. Better than losing herself to her anger.]
We figured Rage may have something to do with it. [Pause.] As in the 'god' Rage.
[Just in case that wasn't obvious.]
[voice]
And that feeling is still with you, isn't it?
[voice]
[Rey is fine. Totally fine. Unfeeling, sure, but fiiine. Never mind the fact that she's had to suppress urges to kill at one point before being plagued by Rage's... well, rage. That's no cause for concern.]
[voice]
Anyone else we know affected of by this?
[voice]
Maketh Tua, though there are probably others.
[voice]
What else can you tell me? You wake up feeling like you needed to strangle someone, or did something trigger this?
[voice]
[Like she cares.]

[Yes, dodging much.]
[voice]
Am fine. [That's what he wants to hear, right? Right.]
[voice]

[voice]
Do what you have to.
[Still not being very convincing.]
[voice]
[Another pause.]
You call me if anything changes.
[Hanging up with a click. He might be a synthetic man, but his concern is all too real.]
