NOTE: As of 12/2016, Rey has adopted the alias "Fiona Stransky" when working with the Guard. Something to keep in mind, as Rey maintains a low profile with her involvement in the group. Other than what is mentioned in the Guard records, there is no trace of a "Fiona" identified on the network.
[It takes a few seconds for Rey to process Nick's messages. She'd seen his response on Maketh's post to know that he was okay, but she hadn't made her own well-being as publicly known, did she?
[A few hours have passed since Nick's last message, and Rey finally returns his call with a groggy tone. She's tired. Her voice is hoarse.]
Shit, Nick. I'm sorry. Left my phone back at the Speakeasy while I dealt with the... [You know. Cough.] Anyway, I'm over here. Cat's followed me, in case you can't find him.
[Nick apparently has his phone in his pocket, because it's only minutes before he calls back. He might have left a handful of worried messages, but he sounds more relieved than anything, his tone evident even over the crackle of fires far behind him.]

Shit, Nick. I'm sorry. Left my phone back at the Speakeasy while I dealt with the... [You know. Cough.] Anyway, I'm over here. Cat's followed me, in case you can't find him.
[audio]
Good. He was looking for you.
[Just like Nick was, but with more meowing.]
Are you all right?
[audio]
Well, guess it's a good thing he found me.
[Because he hasn't left her alone since.]
I'm fine, for better or worse. [The vagueness isn't helping you, Rey.]
[audio]
[That's the tone of someone who doesn't appreciate vagueness.]
[audio]
I, um. Might have been responsible for the fire. Not intentionally, and definitely not this bad. But before I could control it, it just... whoosh.
[audio]
What happened?
[audio]
...
[Okay, Nick. You might not believe this, but:] ...I sneezed.
[audio]
[Somehow, that's easier to believe than most of the other reasons he came up with. Easier to swallow, too.]
All right. I'm out here with the Firefighters, trying to keep it from spreading too badly. Will you be okay?
[She didn't exactly answer him in the clearest of terms last time.]
[audio]
[Whether she means the sneezing or the fire is anyone's guess. Maybe it's both.]
I'll be fine. Took care of some of it. Resting now. [The last thing she wants to do is overcharge.]
[audio]
[Which might be longer than he thinks it's going to be, but Rey's safety is what matters.]
[audio]
...Sorry about this.
[Whatever happened, she can't help but feel responsible for it.]
[audio]
All right. Stay safe for me.
[And for herself, but he knows how Rey is about putting other people first. Click.]
