NOTE: As of 12/2016, Rey has adopted the alias "Fiona Stransky" when working with the Guard. Something to keep in mind, as Rey maintains a low profile with her involvement in the group. Other than what is mentioned in the Guard records, there is no trace of a "Fiona" identified on the network.
Pretty damn well, actually. The biomechanical components are pretty resilient and protected, so long as my skull doesn't get split open, which isn't easy to do.
[Hey, what's not to be reassured about? Human skulls are sturdy it is -- metal skulls made of fervidium alloy? Way more so.]
Well, if you want to get technical, my internal components are made of about seventy to eighty percent advanced organic material. Makes me more durable than most.
Next to the notion of you diving, my primary concern was that your components were made up of heavy composites. As you would lack buoyancy, they would make it incredibly difficult, if not impossible, for you to manoeuvre through water.
You know, anything heavy can be capable of floating as well? Elephants are actually rather competant swimmers, and they're over forty times my own weight.
[At least they can agree on heavy things being able to float.
[She just sighs at his response, falling quiet for a moment...]
No, not an elephant. Wasn't supposed to be are that I wasn't human for a long time, either. That was a little factoid just a couple of my previous selves were privvy to from the start, but that's... a long story.
More than once, actually. Whenever I was reset with a new identity, so went any idea that I was not human after all. Guess Gregory pulled some strings to make sure that didn't reflect on my medical records...
[She hadn't thought about it in a long time, let alone bring this up with Oscar at all.]
[The fact that Oscar didn't know (or even knows of Undine at all, actually) is something that Rey never even considered. She just assumes that he is asking for some other reason. A pretty obvious reason, given what she just told him.]
At the Speakeasy. Nick has been staying here with me, too.
[Beyond the experiences he logged from Pleasant Valley, Miss Rey's 'mother' did exist for a time in her world. He knows she could not have been the same young woman who exists in his data records, but the part she played in Miss Rey's history remains the same.
He takes the next boat crossing from the west island to the south island to speak with her offspring about matters that he feels are too delicate to be discussed anywhere but in person. He arrives at Miss Rey's establishment with approximately two minutes to spare. Standing in the entranceway, he scans the room for her.]

Please call me at your earliest convenience.
[audio]
[She isn't sure if he has any preferences or limitations with the boats and waters like Nick does.]
[audio]
My reason for calling was that I wanted to know whether you were planning on embarking on a voyage soon.
[audio]
[She'd hate to make him have to go anywhere if he doesn't have to. Robots and water don't tend to mix very well.]
But yes, I am. Why? [He's not wanting to dissuade her, is he? Would he? Fuck.]
[audio]
[audio]
No worries; wasn't planning on doing any of the diving part, anyway. Just navigation and recon.
[audio]
Are you able to swim?
[audio]
[audio]
So your internal mechanisms consist of some form of low-density material.
[audio]
Well, if you want to get technical, my internal components are made of about seventy to eighty percent advanced organic material. Makes me more durable than most.

[She snorts.]
You know, anything heavy can be capable of floating as well? Elephants are actually rather competant swimmers, and they're over forty times my own weight.
[audio]
But you are the only machine of your kind that I have had the pleasure of meeting, Miss Rey. And you are no elephant.
[audio]
[At least they can agree on heavy things being able to float.
[She just sighs at his response, falling quiet for a moment...]
No, not an elephant. Wasn't supposed to be are that I wasn't human for a long time, either. That was a little factoid just a couple of my previous selves were privvy to from the start, but that's... a long story.

[She hadn't thought about it in a long time, let alone bring this up with Oscar at all.]
[audio]
[audio]
...And I was.
[audio]
Was your creator made aware of this?
[Creators?]
[audio]
[She's reluctant to mention her father, but:] And Lucas thought I was terminated. Gregory made sure to make it look like I didn't exist anymore.
[For a long time, she wished she was.]
[audio]
There is another pause on his end, though it is short.]
Where are you, Miss Rey?
[audio]
At the Speakeasy. Nick has been staying here with me, too.
