NOTE: As of 12/2016, Rey has adopted the alias "Fiona Stransky" when working with the Guard. Something to keep in mind, as Rey maintains a low profile with her involvement in the group. Other than what is mentioned in the Guard records, there is no trace of a "Fiona" identified on the network.
well think you can hold your tits for a day or so while i get ready to head out myself? would rather make sure you dont go out and get your lonestar ass killed while hope is still MIA.
[Rey doesn't respond, but it doesn't take her long to show up. She wasn't kidding about already prepping to head out -- she'd been ready to make multiple expeditions out since well before the move.
[On the surface, however, she doesn't seem very well-prepared at all, bearing only a backpack and a sleeveless vest with a hood over her head. She doesn't require much in the ways of protection from the elements, and it would only get in the way if they run into any more of those things she'd seen stalking around the city.]
「Atem should have expected the change of schedule coming from Rey. But in truth, he didn't want to leave without at least letting her know, he knew that if he went missing without notice, she would probably find him and drag him back, and on the other hand, if he got himself in trouble, he could trust that she might try to find him as well; it'd be a terrible blow to his pride but probably better than getting himself killed.
Just as when he made that last post of his, Atem waits around for her in the lightest clothing no sane person could wear if they are were going into a tundra like expedition, but he seems just fine. The spell he learned from Carlisle truly helped with the light packing side of things. Luckily, this time, his satchel and backpack both seem more substantially filled than the last time, during the orb delivery. For once, he's not even wearing his dueling belt, having left his deck entrusted to someone else as some sort of promise that he would be back, but instead the beautiful scabbard made of wood holding the sword that Curufin had made for him hangs from his studded belt.
It is when he sees Rey approaching that he gives her a small wave, giving her a quick scan but in truth, he's not really surprised that she's not wearing much either.」
[While she might be better equipped to handle the climate, she probably could have done better to seek protection. However, her armor is in the lab for Alphys to work with for the time being and the last thing Rey wants to do is bundle up when she can set herself on fire with a reflex.
[She notes Atem's similar ill-prepared attire but recalls his network post. Despite not having responded to it herself, she pays attention to these things. Sometimes. Maybe not nearly as diligent as Nick, though.
[At his compliment, she shrugs.]
It's one of the few things from home.
[Some of her old clothes are stashed at her house, which she's able to get to easier now that the city is no longer split into four islands.
[Her attention falls to the weapon at Atem's belt.] Nice... sword. Doesn't look like something from Rage's shit armory.
[Rey's been ready since before they shifted planets. She stuffs her hands into the pockets of her cargo pants while she walks, the weight of her oversized pack carried behind her broad shoulders.
[A moment later, and she draws in a deep breath, taking in the smell and sounds of the new world as her mouth slips into a small.]
So fucking good to have all this land again.
[Having one of your past selves drown at sea once and her body trapped several hundreds of feet on the ocean floor doesn't leave her partial to vast open waters. It wasn't enough to inspire any semblance of a phobia like Rose, but Rey doesn't take a solid surface under her feet for granted.]
[It's an odd question. Rey doesn't have much of a preference -- to her, it's all a battlefield; the priority is finding ways to take advantage of it. Unfortunately, the islands didn't lend much in the ways of getting an edge on enemies, should they have been attacked by Null again.
[At least it didn't have to come to that, save for the brief encounter as a result of those diving trips. They might have more luck on this planet, even without the gods' presence. She just has to learn the land.
[Pausing a moment, Rey opens her mouth, formed onto a grin as she speaks.]
Well, if that's what you're into... not going to judge you for your kinks.
[There was a more sincere response here. It's gone now.]

「He doesn't suppose she wants the whole story behind it, though he really doesn't want to tell it.」
It's still unnamed, though... 「He would have liked to tell Yukari about it.」 You ready?
no subject
Still, she nods. If Atem wants to talk about it, he can while they're walking. Or he doesn't have to. Either way is fine with her.]
Got any specific direction in mind, or just wherever? Been wondering what's over those mountains, myself.
no subject
I was wondering about those myself. Seems far enough, got everything you need?
「The nerve...」

Yeah, I... 「He lets out a sigh. Maybe he's should just blurt it out.」 I kind of ended up hating it there. I guess I'm not an ocean person.
「Well no, that's an understatement. A trip or two is fine but everyday, it was tiring. And yet, he did it.」 A good learning experience I guess.
「Not that he will ever have to use it once he's out of there. Too much of a grim thought to say it out loud.」
Would you told me judge me if I told you I miss the desert?
「Not that he would honestly care if she did.」

Are we going to talk about that now?
「She doesn't want to get there, no she doesn't.」
no subject
Well, we could, but it'd probably be fucking weird.
[Rey just shrugs a shoulder when she says this. In truth, she wouldn't even know what the hell there is to talk about.]
