isolated incident. though there have been such cases of people gaining new memories from the jumps, or forgetting their time here. in general it's a mess.

as for nosy people: may have heard of a few mentions on the network - of outsiders attempting to make contact with members of this ship.
don't suppose you'd know anything about that?

Most come with their own memories, I see. Have you yet discerned the cause as to why your memories were affected differently? It sounds difficult.

Outsiders? What sort of persons of outsiders, would you say? I only know that it can be dangerous, to engage in contact with unknown parties from deep space.

yes. it was caused by something that happened before coming here. long story.

can also be dangerous to engage in unknown parties from this ship.

Do you know how it is that you arrived on the Tranquility? It does not seem, to me, that you knew about it before your arrival. Is this true? If you would like to share your story I would be very pleased to listen to it.

Your crewmates remain unknown to you? Remain dangerous?

negative. no one really knows. shortly after the first jump we were informed by captain ward and chief engineer resnik - both seeming to be only remaining members of the original crew at the time - that they didn't know how we got here, either.

yes and no. there is currently an unknown presence aboard this ship. don't know its real name, or if it's even human. uses a red smile as its signature.

Captain Ward? And this is a person who is not from your own crew? Is he still your captain? The name Resnik is familiar to me, although it is a rather common name on certain locations. Do you know more about this Resnik?

Red, you say? As in - I am simply using this for illustration, please do not panic - red?

devon resnik and dominic ward have not made contact with any of us for quite some time. there is evidence indicating that they were part of the original crew, and that resnik had a relationship with the first captain of the tranquility, jason gallagher.
we believe that the original crew went insane, based on our findings.

Is it certain that Devon and Dominic remain on the ship? And of the captain, Jason?
Insane, you say. Does this assessment also include the three persons mentioned previous -- or is it that you believe they have been made exempt, as it could be said, from the memory loss that you experienced in your first jump?

An unknown and dangerous 'presence' aboard the ship that uses the color red, you would say. I apologise, again, but red? I am not sure I understand fully what a 'presence' is. How does this red presence manifest?

can't say for certain about devon and dominic. am almost positive that jason, however, is deceased - or worse. we only have recordings of the former captain to show for his ever being here.
jason seemed to have had some knowledge of the dementia his crew was experiencing, claiming "it wasn't our fault."



have never seen it in person before. some people believe that it isn't a person at all, that it may be some sort of artificial intelligence, but there's no proof of what it is or isn't at this time. it seems to have the ability to open parts of the ship that we're don't have access to.

Would you say that this 'red presence' is from your original crew as well? If so, that is -- inadvisable. Red is only used for emergencies, you see. What are the types of messages distributed by this red contact?

that perhaps they had as much control over their situation then as we do now. that history often repeats itself, and there may be nothing we can do to change it.
apologies. it's been rather hard to remain optimistic here.

have considered it to be a member of the previous crew, as it seems to possess some knowledge of them and the ship itself. unfortunately it only doles out information in the form of cryptic replies and riddles - many of them which reference greek mythology form earth.

That is an understandable take on your situation, from what I have ascertained. To remain light of spirit through the events you have been put through must be hard to accomplish indeed. How are you faring?

There is no record of an artificial intelligence aboard the Tranquility that I am aware of. Your crew's assumptions may be correct, though it's hard to say without further information.

Extensive knowledge of Greek mythology from Earth, you say to mean? That is quite unheard of. I, myself, cannot say I know much at all about such quite ancient history.

am still here after all this time. still alive. faring well enough to keep moving.

not that we're aware of, either. though come to think of it, it's unlikely to be an AI if it's able to write cryptic messages on walls. not sure how it does that.

might have heard some stories back home. not much of an ancient history guru, either, but whoever is toying with us probably is.

On the walls? That is also quite unheard of.

What is your home, if it is not the Tranquility?

at present no. but they have been known to escalate from time to time. have come to expect it.

well, we've also found images painted on the walls. don't know who puts them there, though it's possibly our smiling friend as well.

came from earth, much like a handful of the people on this ship. though some of us from different versions of the that earth, it would seem.
