[While things are quiet in Hadriel, as Maketh's brother, Henry has a particular task he wishes to see done. It's for that reason he stops by the Speakeasy with no intention of drinking.
When he spots Rey, he makes his way over to her. It's strange to think that he's known her for so long without actually knowing her. Now he has very good reason to change that.]
Rey. [Henry calls in greeting, purpose in his tone.] We must speak. Might you spare a moment?

[While hardly a stranger to Henry, they never really had an occasion where "we must speak" sounds like a necessary sentence.

[Henry speaks in a low voice, and simply says:]

[Those are words she expects to hear often since she woke up that day -- sorry sorry sorry. The prospect practically makes her sick inside. So much so that she doesn't answer. Can't. When her phone pings and activity on the network sparks, Rey can't stand to even look at it anymore.
[Removing it from her sight doesn't offer much solace, but she can pretend for a little while that things can be normal again, or as normal as they can be around here. She can go to sleep and sleep and sleep and have visions of things being okay in the middle of horrors and memories. But ultimately she can pretend. Ignore and pretend that the last few weeks she lived was nothing more than a horrible nightmare.
[What does it matter? Did she honestly expect that things with Maketh would go different? That she could ask for forgiveness, just like before all this? Seems like a pipedream now, and it always will be.
[Thus, she'll choose to sleep than to answer, as her one mean of communication to the outside of her blackened bedroom is ground and submerged and silent now.

[Since setting out, Rey hasn't checked her phone, as the network would only prove to be a distraction from the task at hand. She already had enough to concentrate on without worrying about things going down on the islands where she can't do anything.
[So when Atem calls, it takes a little while for her to answer. Her phone fumbles as she digs it out of her cargo pants, switching it on and is surprised to see who it is contacting her.
